Default Richmond 6 spd questions

I have a Richmond 6 spd mated to my L98, in an '85.

My 3rd synchro is going out, and the clutch is on the way out too.

So I have 3 questions. Would this use a specialty clutch, or a regular '85 clutch?

I've heard it's modeled after a T10, is this correct?

Also, how hard would it be to mate it to an LS1? Lots of fab work?

Your assembly dictates everything regarding the build. It could have been assembled with many possible clutch packages. In your particular case you need to remove and match unless there's an invoice somewhere with the particulars noted. The adaptation to an LS? Depends again on just exactly your build and what was done to accomplish the build. There are no similarities to the Richmond ROD and a T10 other than the speedometer drive and driven gear, the 26 spline input and they can both be mounted to a stock bell-housing. There's likely a build# on your ROD that might tell you much more about your build.

Roger, okay. I bought the car with it in it.

there was a bunch of numbers on it. Passenger side, 71-68112, driver's side, RC2 46000 and above that on the driver's side, 71-68111.

Use a regular 85 clutch, it is designed as a direct fit replacement for the 4+3. (I have a Centerforce dual friction if you plan to stay with L98 to sell for cheap)

It is mated to an LS by simply using a "621" bellhousing. My 85 with ROD 6spd LS swap thread:

You would use a hydraulic throw out bearing and stock C5 corvette clutch.

I'll keep that in mind. LSx is what I'm hoping for, but that's a ways off.
