Anyone aware if the Zf6 and T56 use the same slip yoke?

Are the TH400 yokes a better fit for the T56 than the Zf6?

I couldn't find a ZF yoke (All my sources said no longer available) so I used a TH400 yoke. It was about 1 inch longer so they cut it off for me at the driveshaft shop.

What are you needing a slip-yoke for? The ZF or the T56 - a TH400 isn't a correct fit the major and minor diameters are larger and the fit is similar to a slip-yoke with maybe 150K miles on it. I've a correct fit part number for a ZF but you need to cut 30mm or so from it and then use a 1330/1310 conversion u-joint for the front of the drive-shaft. This is a correct fir with the proper major and minor diameters. Many have done it but mention first if it's a ZF you want it for or a T56.

Is the transmission on the floor that you're wanting it for? I'll give you some dimensions you need to check if you mention which it is.

Measure the diameter of the output shaft - and count the splines. Depending on the source of your T56 there could be maybe three possibilities.

I'm "guessing" that you determined you were going to use 27 spline slip-yoke BUT you started out not ever mentioning the source of the T56. The OD and spline count answers all of the questions and there can be no doubt when you work with the "correct information".

There are T56 builds with a 32 spline and also some with 30 spline builds. Your mentioning the ZF and the Th400 in your original post "hinted" that you didn't actually know which.

Which do you really have? F-body 27 spline I'm guessing?

Originally yes. But it is now a 30 spline but had to call the builder to verify since I was told it was 32.

That would be considered the Viper out-put and the reason I asked you to measure and count. Good to see you got it solved. You got a slip-yoke for what u-joint?

Just an FYI I got a slip yoke from ZFdoc a few years back.
I was informed from him it was a new cut down TH400 yoke cut down with the edge beveled. It was a perfect fit in the bushing, seal, splines and u-joint. Can't imagine why anything would have changed between now and then.
Sits behind a 500hp 385cid with no noises or issues.
Would be happy to sell it to you if interested (car included).
