Acceleration problem 1989 corvette
when I accelerate by hand under the hood the rpm are just fine the engine is good. when i do from inside the car the rmp they don't go up like something keep them down.
the old owner replaced the battery and let the cruise control loose, so I tried to disconnected the connector and the car now accelerate better from the inside but when driving still stalls irregular
Should I remove the whole cruse control or buy another one and reinstall, I know it sound a little weird but I am trying to resolve the problem the cheapest way before wasting money replacing parts.

I would first fix the cruise control linkage and see where that leads.
Since the idiot messed around in the area I'd also check the throttle linkage.
