 I can't seem to get my cruise to engage. I've checked the vacuum lines and they are all OK??? What could it possibly be I am so perplexed   OH! I also checked the fuse panel in the car and none were fried.
Oh yea, the car is a 1992. A real beauty I might add, but then all Corvettes are a thing of beauty except that really ugly one in my state,CA. Someone posted a picture of it ........the one with the C5 rear on it and the 747 wing on the back yeeeech!!! :U
pull off the fuel rail cover (right I believe) and look at the vacuum lines for a small t connector. these frequently break and are less than $1 to replace
You said you checked the lines...did you actually verify that you have vacuum at the cruise servo? I had a gash in my line which was out of sight and that was causing my probs.
My 91 may be different than yours, however when I got my car used my cruise did not work. After alot of looking I found that where the stalk wires plugged into the steering column that one of the connection pins was bent over. Someone had removed it before and did not get it back on straight and it bent the pin. When I straightened it back it fixed the problem. If you just bought the car, maybe thats it.
Hello and Welcome, Then i bought My 92 the cruise was not working after working on the problem myself for a month i found the problem. You didn't say if you have a Auto. or Stick . Under the dash is a switch (1-auto, 2-stick). If you have an Auto. this switch is vacuum AND ELECTRICAL. When the break is applied the ele. switch is open, no current to CCM (cruise control module) no cruise. If stick make sure both switches hold vacuum. It cost me 300$ to find I had a bad 10$ elec. switch. Good Luck. :D :flag
on my 84 cruise was inoperative. turned out to be a bad ground. there's a ground wire above the battery which wasn't getting continuity to vehicle ground. i simply grounded direct to the battery and it worked.

Less than a dollar? Just replaced mine. Could not find a T with that little round section anywhere except the dealership. $8 dollar item... Rip off.
Was not sure and did not want to chance putting a T without that round section to it.
It's the passenger side of the intake manifold. Look towards the back on the same side. You'll see two vacuum lines running into the intake. That them be them vacuum T and lines. Those lines provide vacuum for the heater vents and cruise control if I'm not mistaken.
