Default the final touch on the build...wheels

Hey guys were just finishing up the complete overhall on my brothers 96 c4 and all thats left are a new set of wheels and tires

were having an issue on sizing a rim. everybody seems to be saying different sizes that will fit from my research so far in just reading

currently the car is sitting on a set of c5 z06 wheels but I know there is lots of room left under there

I want to run an 18" on it all the way around. what width rims are any of you running and what size tires? and do you have any rubbing or clearance issues in turns

the car has been lowered and has a new VBP extreme touring kit on it so it still needs to clear

I'll put some pictures up when it gets back from being tuned

thanks all!

I have 19"x10" C5 Deep Dish replica wheels on all four corners, on my Lowered 91 Vette.

No, rubbing or scraping anywhere.

I use this site for Tire and Wheel fitment.

thanks
I'll give that site a shot

I read somewhere that the earler c4s actually accomodated wider wheels than the later ones

Yes, the 84-87 C4 Vettes, have a lower wheel offset (38mm compared to 56mm for the 88-96 vettes) because the rear hub to hub measurement is about 3/4" narrower each side than the 88-96 Vettes rear hub to hub measurement.

El stocko's for me.. 275-40-17 on all 4 corners. I'm still looking for that "perfect" combo.
Unfortunately there are very few C4's running around in this area so I can only look at pics and try to determine if it looks right to me.

The joy of photoshop

as far as fitment goes. im going to call up forgestar again and get their opinion as well. if what they say matches my findings on that configurator or other peoples experience then looks like i found the righ size
they did a set for my c5 that came out perfect. they seemed to know real well just what will fit under there
asked even how low the car has been dropped for a one off backspacing. I was very pleased with their work and customer support

Tires of the same "size" isn't always the case. That confuses me even more on my selection. Look at the pic in the 8th post here

I'm curious to see what you come up with. Drop me a PM or something when you get your new shoes, I'd like to see them.

ha i miss the days like on trucks where it gives an inch measurment for height, width, and rim size. they were not reliant on each other like an aspect ratio....so much easier

ok yea it'll be a few weeks but ill definitely put some pictures of the final product up
