Default NEED HELP IN DALLAS AREA...PLEASE HELP!!!

I just got my custom chip and the makers of it said I need my warm park idle to be set at 25-30 and my throttle position sensor to be set at .59-.60. I am totally new to computers and need someone who can do this for me. I don't even know what it means, but this is what they told me over the phone. I will pay someone $50.00 if they can help me out. Thanks in advance!!!

Hey CarNDrvr,

What you need done is something you can easily do yourself.
It won't involve ANY ECM functions or anything.

What they want you to do is:

1) Set the THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR to .59 to .60 VOLTS.
This is done with a DIGITAL VOLT-OHM-METER
It's VERY easy to do.

2) Set the IAC or IDLE AIR CONTROL to 25-30 Counts.

Here's how to do this:

1) Purchase the FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL for your particular Vette.
You didn't mention the year model you have but you can purchase the service manual from Ecklers,Mid-America , etc, etc.

2) If you don't have one, purchase a DIGITAL VOLT OHM METER...
A Radio Shack $25.00 one will do just fine.

3) Study the service manual section on setting the THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR. It's a very simple procedure you do without the engine even running.

4) Study the service manual section on setting the IDLE AIR CONTROL.
Again it's a very simple procedure.

5) If you don't want to do this yourself, take your Vette to a COMPETENT mechanic and pay him the Fifty to do it for you.
Shouldn't be more than 50$ to set both these things and give you some good advice on tuning.

6) If you successfully do these couple of things yourself, then seriously consider purchasing a scanner to read the sensor inputs and ECM parameters from your Vette.
I have Diacom and Auto Xray and highly reccomend either.
The Auto Xray is probably better for the neophyte tuner as it is completely self contained meaning you don't need to have a notebook computer to put in your car to do testing with.

Hope this helps.

CarnDriveR,

Hmmm, I see you've got a SuperCharger installed along with a lot of other mods.
Please disregard my previous post.
I have no experience running a supercharger.
Most of the factory tuning specs are likely not to work with the setup your running. ( The TPS voltage WILL work, however).
I suspect you're going to need a pretty hefty piece of custom tuning done.
There ARE folks on here that can offer good advice on your setup but unfortunately I'm not that person.
Good luck getting your tuning set up.
