I'm a little concerned with getting the rotors wet during a wash and seeing rust form on the rotors where the brake pads come in contact with the surface. Does anyone with Eradispeeds have any rust problems or is this even a concern with these types of rotors? TIA! :)
From what I understand, all discs will rust overnight, after being washed, etc. This is completely normal. The first time you lightly step on the brake pedal, it takes all the rust off, and braking performance is not affected.

Re: Eradispeeds and rust (Knight Ryder)
They aren't as prone to pitting as regular rotor's. Instead of rusting they have a yellow tint to the Eradispeed's after you wash the car or they get wet. Untill the first time you hit the pedal. And it's gone. Nothing at all to worry about. I did all 4 Eradispeed's and Grandsport caliper's in the front with a bias-spring in the master. S/S brake line's also. Nice. I didn't want to put on bigger brake's . Because of the additional rotating weight. Dont forget......An added plus about the Eradispeed's they save alot of rotating weight also.

Did you notice any difference with the bias-spring? I have been thinking of getting on when I redo the brakes.

Re: Eradispeeds and rust (BiZ)
Everything was upgraded at the same time. So it's a little difficult to report what did what. The bias-spring help's stop the front end dive when braking hard. DRM has the best price on the bias. Can now say one thing. She stop's well.
Get the spring. The benefit for coated rotors like Eradispeeds is not on the braking surface. The coating on any rotor is gone in the first few miles. The benefit is the rest of the surfaces don't rust so the rotors look new instead of getting rusty on the edges.
