My 87 Coupe measures roughly 26.625" front and 27.750" rear. I estimate the tires have 80% tread left. My front spoiler was hitting my driveway untill last Saturday, when I was tired of the scraping so I remover the three piece spoiler and cut 1.25" off. Now it clears.

Does anyone know of the potential ill effects of a shorter front spoiler?

I sure am happy not scraping the concrete.

Mine was about 26 3/4" front and 28" rear.

I used the MAD bolt kit to drop the rear about 1 1/4"; since this pivots the body about the front axle it effectively raised the front spoiler a little. I now have no hitting.

Since your front is 1 1/2" lower you may need a new front spring.

I wouldn't cut much from the front spoiler/air dam as that will efffect air flow into the radiator.

My front is 25.5 and rear is 27.25 inch. Yea it rubs a lot too! But the x-brace from a convert. that I bolted under there makes the best grind noises....
