I have a 94 Coupe and when the ac or defroster are on, my transmission acts funny. It gets really jumpy when I'm idleing and when you drive it, it doesn't shift smoothly. When the ac or defroster are not on, she runs like a dream. Has anyone experienced this problem? I don't think it is a mechanical problem, because it would do this all of the time, so I guess it is in the electical part. Any solutions or tips?
It's the 4L60. She runs great 80% of the time. That is what leads me to believe that it isn't a problem with the mechanics of the tranny. I have never messed with them. I am going to change the trans fluid and filter and see if that cures it. <---wishfull thinking
Could it be related to the ECM call to increase the RPM's when the head pressure on the AC system is high? Mine idles around 650 when hot with the AC off and bumps up to 750-800 when the AC is turned on.
