Can't get Datamaster to work
I sent them an email but it's the weekend and I want to check the car now.
i have a 1995 vette m6. the drivers were installed with my new cable, i downloaded datamaster, selected the com port, turned the key to on and there is no data. no difference if i start the car. i have attached a picture of the error i get. it did manage to grab the VIN however after 3 tries.
I am now also using Scan9495 and that will not playback a recorded scan.

When you choose record it opens the serial data acquisition window. From there you chose file / open and name the file.
I have a webpage on how to use it. www.scotthansen.net/data

Google 'Scan 9495'. Completely free so you don't have to worry about the number of times you hit record. the guy who developed it is on a number of the LT1 forums and is very willing to help!

I haven't had a chance to use it. It's on my to-do list. I would contact the developer for help. I know the guy who developed it has a Trans Am. The Corvettes required a code to silence the CCM; is there an option for Corvettes in the software, or some option that says silence CCM? I know some folks have had difficulty with Datamaster on the Corvettes and I think it has to do with the CCM too; the F-body guys usually don't have any problems. This is just a guess on my part, but I know it is a difference in the LT1 cars and if the CCM is still communicating it will trash communications by other devices.

I do not see an option to silence CCM on either. I also do not see anywhere on 9495 to select my car. The closest thing is that it automatically pulls my VIN, PCM, and a few other things.

ok i ran the car with a scan for a little bit but I can't read it. it wants to open in openoffice so it's just a bunch of numbers and if I click 'read log file' I get an unhandled exception error.I want to upload my scan so someone can read it and tell me what my issue is.

Scan9495 (and the user guide) can be downloaded from here:

I know this is really old, but there is now an early version for the Corvette in the Trials folder. The CCM is silenced but there are still issues with conflicts.
