Build sheet engine code
I just got the build sheet for my 96 C4. The engine code is a ZXA. I have searched all over to find out what engine my car has. Is it a LT1 or LT4?

You need to go no further than your VIN. What is the 8th digit of the VIN?
I'm very sure you'll find a P and that matches your ZXA code - LT1 VIN P.
ZXD is the LT4 VIN code 5 engine.

It is a "P" so it is a LT1 right?

If it's an auto it's an LT1, if a 6 speed an LT4. At least, that's the way it came from the factory.
