I used the Zip Tie method for that same repair.
I drilled two holes on the top edge and one hole in the rib then, I inserted a zip tie and snugged it down.
Use a thick zip tie, (minimum 8" long) or it won't be strong enough. Also, don't pull to hard since the plastic might be brittle and break apart.

i have had good luck with a soldering gun on high heat and a piece of similar plastic. heat up both pieces and stick in the fill piece and it will melt together just like soldering, just doesn't flow like solder. just heat, melt, fill, move. repeat.
