Hi anyone out there that can help me. I am rebuilding my 1990 L98 engine and it has been apart now for 4 years alot of the things i removed i forgot where they go becasue it was apart for so long.
1) what goes under the hose fron the throttle body to the intake?
2) i cant find a new EGR tube, i did see block out plates, could i do not without it causing the engine light to go or effect performace?

Are you talking about the heater hose that passes through on it's way to the front of the intake base? If you block of the egr it is best to have it programmed out.
Im not a fan of removing or blocking off the egr. The egr does not hamper performace or and such tails associated with emissions being bad. The egr infact can help with performance by permitting more spark advace. It also reduces nox if you have to get smog tested. There are pleanty of guys on here that sell used parts check with them to see what they have see4parts is the first name to hit my head. He is a great guy to deal with and honest beyond honest

Well the TB is the intake????
2) Since your '90 uses SD intake I can't tell you how to defeat the EGR save for having the chip reprogrammed. Best to pick up a used EGR tube, IMO.
