3 bolts in balancer

3 bolts in balancer

Any suggestions how to lock the balancer on a 95 auto to break the 3 bolts?

not too much experience wrenching on the LT1, but I'd go straight in with and impact wrench. no need to lock anything.

Unfortunately no room, checking out my inventory of chain/strap to hook damper; freaking fragile optispark is a problem. Last resort pull inspection and lock flywheel.

Why not just fill the top of the cylinder with "rope"? Just askin'

Locking the flywheel is the best way to do it, no chance of messing something up..Visegrips work well..

Chaining did work, fortunately it was a Texas car. Thanks!
