Had to leave my car out for a couple of nights and yesterday I noticed that the window looked down a little. Today I went to move my car and it was definitely down about an inch or so. When I tried to lower it would not go down. I pushed on it and it reluctantly went down. It shot right up and again would not go down. There is plenty of grease on the tracks. After a few tries now it won't move either direction.
I think someone may have tried to pry it down and bent something. I have the panel off but can't see anything that looks like it would cause such a bind and I heard no bad noises when it was working.
Check if you have power at the window lift motor while trying to operate window, a test light or multimeter will work. I'd guess the lift motor is failing, my kids pry'd the window down in my cavalier when it was a year old, it did bend the regulator slightly but it somehow ruined the motor too. I hope you have a bad switch tho, I just had my driver door apart and its a pain. good luck

OK the pass window regulator is a scissors type.
The track or mechanical is possibly bent.
Time to remove the panel and take a look see at whats gone wrong.
Before you go ripping into the door its time to test a few things first. -You'll save time, $$$ and your sanity.
Get out on the web and read up on this problem and do your research. It could be just a switch going bad or a motor that is failing. Consult the FSM manual and read through the window trouble shooting section.
I had this same issue about 10 years ago on my 94. I trouble shot the issue one step at a time. -Diagnosis? The window motor was failing.
First take a multi meter and test the window switch. Then test the motor itself. Think small problem first before jumping to a big problem.
