92 LT1 head gaskets
Here is a picture of mu old gasket and the replacement on in the head gasket kit. As you can see the new extends higher, above the block. Is this correct? Everything else is the same, just do not want to use it and have to replace it. Thanks for your time. I am ready to assemble the engine tomorrow so I really need answers as soon as possible.

PS I just got assurance from the supplier that these gaskets will work with no problems, just a new design. I also looked at other gasket sets online and all the pictures show this gasket. They also said that the side I showed in the picture with the sealant goes next to the block. Still would like your responses. Thanks guys.
