Default ABS Fuse Location 1992

Hello, I am trying to find the fuse location for the abs on my 1992 as I want to remove it (solid axle conversion). I do have the FSM but I can't locate it. I also searched this forum and prior post do indicate that it is located behind the battery. However I don't see it there.

Thanks in advance!

There is NO single fuse for ASR/ABS - I would think that since you've eliminated it and the DIC is a nuisance you pull the bulb. The ABS aspect is triggered/powered by the SLS but is controlled by various sensors powered by other fuse combinations. I would think there is a blue wire to the ABS module from the SLS and if that were defeated at the ABS module it's "DONE"! The light in the DIC I believe you'll need to remove.

I also believe there would be a 12V fusible link directly to the ABS module that is likely on the jump box but I would think it easier to defeat at the module. To remove it from the jump box you would need to remove them all and then check various ones for continuity and then eliminate it.

It looks like in the EBCM connector there are 3 red wires - pin 38 & 39 are 12V power from the battery jump block with a FL. The only other red wire is 45 for the LR ABS sensor. 38 & 39 should be on the end of a row and very easy I would think to spot and isolate. There are wires with red stripes but the three I mention should be RED only!

As always you provide informative information. You are correct as the FSM does not indicate any specific fuse. That's what was driving me nuts. When I searched this Forum some have indicated a fuse behind the battery. I will take your advise and just remove (the plugs) from the ABS system (rear wheel sensors already removed).

Thanks again! Its greatly appreciated!!
