Default Removed Starter Motor - No Power

I have a bad starter, so I removed it to replace it. I also removed the front left headlight to repair it. After doing this, I found I have no electrical power whatsoever to the car. Normally when I would connect the negative battery cable to the negative terminal, it would spark some. Now, no sparks and no electric flow. The battery isn't bad and it's charged.
Did I lose power because I removed the starter?

No but your main positive cable goes to the starter first. I'd be checking to see if all is well at the starter. Power to the starter?. ALL wires attached?

Ahh, thanks!
Clarification: I removed the starter; I have not yet replaced it. Looks like you've found my problem. Thanks again!

Okay, I got the new starter in and there's still no power. I checked with a multimeter, and there's infinite resistance between the two battery leads when they're disconnected from the battery. Resistance between the two starter terminals is only about 10 ohms. Any ideas what could cause a total loss of power like that?

Never mind. I think it was just a bad electrical connection.
