When I am on the highway and let off the gas,
it feels like it's being held back. But when I press the brake pedal a little, it lets go. Does this have something to do with converter lockup or the brake light switch ? Shouldn't this be working the other way around?

I have a 93 that does the same thing. It appears to be from the factory this way. Mine has 49K and was well taken care of. Mabey someone else could chime in on this. Charlie

I guess I'll take it to a transmission specialist to get checked out
Sounds like the converter is staying engaged and giving engine braking. Stepping on the brake pedal releases the lock up in the torque converter. Probably normal.

Thanks, I'll check on that. It just feels weird when it does that.
