I changed distributor cap, rotor button, spark plug wires and spark plugs. Everything started up fine and ran smooth. When I pulled out of my driveway the dash flashed off and right back on and just after that it just died. I was able to tow it back home with my truck and currently in garage checking all fuses. It still cranks just won't start like no spark or no fuel. Any idea what happened? Passenger side headlight will not rotate closed either but I'm not sure if that is related or not.
I didn't move the ignition coil ground strap to the new distributor cap and apparently fried the coil. I talked to a friend that's a mechanic and I checked for spark and didn't get any so I'll get a new coil tomorrow and see if that is it. It's been a long time since I fooled with anything with spark plugs.

Install the ground and see what happens before you purchase a new coil.
I installed the ground strap before calling my friend and it would crank but never hit. He's the one that suggested I check to see if I was getting spark.
I went to O'Reilly's this morning and when I told the guy there what I had done, he thought it was the ignition module. He was right I changed it out and put everything back together and it started right up. I've taken it out for a drive to make sure it was right and it sure runs a lot better than it did.
