Gas fumes
Recently had intake gaskets, egr, oil sending unit, injector O-rings installed. Smell gas fumes while driving. runs and idles good. Don't see any signs of a leak. It's a 1987 L98. Any ideas? thanks for listening

Do not continue driving the car until the problem is fixed! And do not park it inside a garage. You've got fuel spraying or leaking somewhere, and that's a recipe for a fire. We don't need another picture of a C4 in flames.

Pull the vacuum line off the fuel pressure regulator and turn on the ignition without starting the engine. No fuel should come out of the FPR. If fuel does come out then you need to replace the FPR or the diaphragm inside.
When my FPR diaphragm ruptured I had a fire in the engine compartment, so you need to check this ASAP.
There is one other possibility. There is a rubber hose that joins two metal parts of the vapor line from the fuel tank to the charcoal canister. If that hose is damaged or missing then you can get a fuel vapor smell. It's located in front of the rear tire on the driver's side:

I had a gas smell on my 86 coupe. There is a small rubber hose behind the driver's seat under the car. The hose was covered with some under coating and I had dig around it. The hose was dry rotted and barely there. The hose is only 2-3 inches long but; it was my gas smell.
