Thanks. Engine is getting dropped off saturday and im going to start porting the heads this week. I also ordered some rims but i think im going to wait to show you guys those till i get to point in this build
Are you making any more of those rear flares? Very sharp. Can't wait to see the car when it's finished. What do you have in mind for wheels?
Well when i get the rear put back together, which should be pretty soon since the motor will be gone for a bit. I planned on making some final molds to offer parts on ebay for about $250 a pair but when i mentioned that earlier i didnt hear any interest. But i could revisit that if there was.
Wheels are being shipped right now they are only 10.5 wide but im sending them out to get widened once they get here
Things should start speeding up here soon. Been busy lately and finaly getting caught up
Sweet! I think they will look great. How wide will they be after they are finished? Just so you know, I would be interested in some flares. I'd need to see a few more pics and find out how much wheel you can use. Then we will talk. Keep up the good work.
Hey guys, there wasn't a single foot in any of the last pics. LOL
I did see the deer corn though. SNEEEEEAAAAKKKKKY!

I think once people see it complete you will have some interest. Depending on the shape of the car I start with, I may be in line for a set. Gotta get my bike running and sold ( impulse buy gone wrong) before the wife will approve me to pull the trigger on a Vette.

Agreed but if not no biggy. I think its a nice look and an area where Chevy could have made a nicer design.
let your wife know a husband with a sports car is a loyal husband lol you can get c4's so cheap right now. craigslist has tons of them and 3k to 4k will get you a really nice fixer upper.
Can anyone post up some pics of how they ported there exhaust on there heads? My headers(obx) are circle and my heads are "d" ports... Is this going to slow down exhaust release with a possible "vortex" affect ?
Just wanted to express my admiration for the work you are doing. I wish i had the skills to undertake a monster build from groud up like you are doing!....Oh and nice toes.... lol

Somebody give this man an award!!!!! Finally someone who see the magistry and perfection in my eloquently manicured example of perfect feet... Bless you sir.... Bless you lololol
Thank you for the comments. Just takes a little patience and desire and anyone can do it.
spending a little time in the barn tonight trying to hurry and get everything cleaned up before i get my block back from the machine shop. best investment you can make to your car tool... sand blaster and parts washer makes this stuff soooo much easier. i think I'm going to wet sand the valve covers and add a couple more layers of paint.. see how smooth and shiny i can get them.
would love any input to the question post a couple up about the porting of the exhaust side of the heads.
thanks
this build just got fun for me that motor looks so clean and ready for go fast parts lol the machine shop did an amazing job. Ross automotive in lapeer michigan.
also wet sanded those valve covers and put on a few more layers of paint.. come out pretty decent. blasted and painted one of the brackets as well. things are moving along nicely so far.
question... so what kind of paint are you guys using to paint this plastic piece.
You can use the same base clear that your shooting the body with. Just pick up some adhesion promoter for plastics and spray that over the prepped fuel rail covers. Once that's done your all set for painting them as you would any other body panel. I have painted and done the graphic's on a few sets without issue. I've been running the skulls for nearly 4 years now & they have held up just fine.
