I recently purchased a 1991 Corvette and am in the process of working out a couple of bugs. The ABS light is on. My Actron OBD 1 scanner also does ABS codes. When plugged in, the light does not flash any codes. I have also run a jumper wire from plug A to plug H to try to get the codes to flash and it will not. I have done all the obvious checks - brake fluid, fuses and the relays at the ECBM. Any thoughts on how to extract the error codes would be much appreciated. Also... When I test drove the car the light did go off briefly. It hasn't gone off since.
I have already seen both of these in my search for info. Which reminds me of a point I did not include... I've tired to clear the code by disconnecting the battery and with my scan tool and the light stays on.

Your Actron might do ABS but I doubt the '91 Corvette, a Tech1 requires a Bosch adapter to do it so I doubt your "generic" could accomplish the task. Not all codes are available using "flash diagnostics" and there are specific circumstances for clearing codes.
Do you have a FSM? It's pretty well explained which codes won't display, which will and why you can't clear specific codes under certain circumstances.
A Tech1 with the proper Bosch adapter should work.

No Factory Service Manual yet for this one... just got it (the Vette) and had Batte refurbish the instrument cluster LCD display. FSM is the next purchase... time to contact Helms to order one. Was hoping to get an easy code to fix and get out on the road.

Try the "for sale" section here and eBay before going to Helm. Make sure you purchase a complete 2 - book package with "RED" covers if you're shopping.
Crabs,
I took my 91 to the Chevy dealer for a Tech 1 scan and here was the result:
27791 CODE 63 SOLENOID VALVE RELAY FAULT SET DIAG FOUND SOLENOID VALVE REALY INOP, IDENTIFIED AS PART OF BRAKE PRESSURE MODULATING VALVE.
They also noted:
ALL PARTS DISCONTINUED FROM GM, MAY BE ABLE TO REPLACE REALY SEPARATELY OR WITH BPMV AS COMPLETE UNIT.
They claimed to have extensively searched GM and aftermarket resources and could not find the replacement relay. They stuck me for the price of a scan and its still not fixed.
This appears to be the same issue your links address. What replacement relay did you use? A few more details would be greatly appreciated.
Relay is a P&B V4F-15H11 24v automotive relay, the socket was an off the shelf in the "DIY" section at my local Kragen Auto Parts.
You will need a Tech-1 with appropriate ABS module to reset the codes, AFAIK no aftermarket code read will do this.
