Reverse Switch `

I have a 94 LT1 6 speed and my reverse lights do not come on when in reverse. I tested the system by jumping the connector that go's to the switch and the lights come on. So i assume i need a new switch. I went to the Chevy Dealer near my home and the part is discontinued. Part #10159402. Is there another switch that i can use?

How do you remove this switch? Where do you access it from?
