Default Best/Easiest NO2 System for LT1?

Now I'm sure that this question has been asked many time before bit after doing a search I was unable to get my question answered.

So what is the best and easiest(as installation goes) NO2 system for a LT1? I am only looking for an occasional 100-125 shot. If someone has a list of everything needed that would be great, along with part #'s and prices...even better!

Thank you so much for any advice.

Eric

TNT or NX kits are very good quality and have a pretty easy installation. Beyond the kit, you will want an RPM window switch (Mallory has a great one). For the NX system, look for a base kit and a Gen-X II add on (Has purge, bottle heater, fuel pressure safety, and blow down tube). Additionally, you will want to look to a MSD Digital 6 for ignition needs. It has a built in timing retard for the Nitrous.

So...

NX Base Kit ~$575
NX Gen-x 2 ~$250
MSD Dig 6 ~$250
Mallory window switch ~100

Hey thanks for the info, it is what I was wanting! Now let me ask another question...is the MSD Digital 6 needed when runing only 100 shots?

Thanks again.

Depends on who you ask and how much you value the safety of your engine. Some get by without retarding the timing, but it is recommended to do so by 2 degrees for every 50hp shot of nitrous.

You could "get by" with just the base kit. It all depends on what you want and how safe you want to be running it on your motor.

I use a Nitrous Works wet kit on my 95. It's a very simple setup. An auto car is much easier to spray than a stick car. I am a total "nitrous junkie". Have fun.

Since nobody has mentioned it... i would recommend that you change to a colder range copper plug as well...$16 for a set...but expect to spend a couple of hours changing them.

{EDIT}
price quote from speeddemon a while back...i would use all of these things.
But again some people feel they can get a away without the window switch on an auto. I would not mess around with a 6spd however.
TNT F1 plate system $575
NGK TR6 $16
Mallory Window Switch $79.95
Bottle warmer (NX with pressure transducer) $159.95
Fuel Pressure saftey switch. $56.95
msd digi 6 $250

Good gas is a must too, especially on the stock cast piston bottom end.

Thanks for the reply guys...I ended up purchasing a Compucar Wet System from a fellow here on the forum. The only thing it lacks is a bottle warmer and window switch, otherwise it is an excellent system. I also purchased an ignition retarder (MSD 6) too.

I do have a question...and it's one I've seen asked before but never really answered. What happens when you are WOT with N2O engaged between shifts (considering you have a window switch)? I would think you might cause problems with the RMP's dropping back into the RPM band and popping into another gear. Is this safe?

Thanks,

Eric

I don't powershift so my system cuts off between shifts when not at WOT and when not in the RPM range of the window switch.

You can just let it rip with an auto.
