replaced the injectors today. have a fuel leak where the 9th screws/bolts to the fuel rail. Seems to be coming from the male/female union AND from where the line passes thru the bolt. Took it back apart and put a rubber o ring on the line, still leaks from where the line passes thru the bolt. Can I simply disconnect the line and cap it off? suggestions? thnks.
What I found on my car was that the bore in the fuel rail had a sharp edge on it that was cutting the O-ring. I sanded the edge off and polished the bore so the O-ring would slip into place without being cut. Never had a leak since then.
I ran mine for a couple years with that unplugged. It started funny but not a problem. I think I cranked a couple seconds, gave it 1/2 throttle for a second and then it started. Once started it was all good. Even in single digit temps.
I had the same trouble a while ago with my 9th injector, tried 3 different o rings with no success, then tried a piece of fuel rubber tube i found in a box of carby bits, it worked great for the last few years,
Cliff, as always, you give great info, way over the top and I thank you.

For example, you wouldn't believe how complex the AC system is (working on an upgrade to a Denso compressor -- article to follow). Here's a hint:
