Default Need carb e.o.# for superram plenum and runners

HELP! We are hostages of the PRK - People's Republik of Kalifornia. We are re-building a 1991 L98 daily driver, so it must pass smog, which means I need the CARB EO#s for all the aftermarket parts to prove we are smog legal.

We have a SuperRam with runners and an Accel intake base.

We have the C.A.R.B. EO# for the Accel base P/N 74197 which is:
CARB approval: E.O. #D-221 7/10/1992 Automotive Controls Corp SuperRam Manifold Base Intake Manifold SMB 74197 85-92 TPI

Does anyone have the Executive Order numbers for the Superram plenum and the Superram runners?

Thank you!
M

1. LPE does not have them.
2. I already scoured the post by TTA579 in October 2012 at https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...d-eo-list.html)

THIS EO NUMBER IS INCORRECT (APPLIES TO WEIAND base)

This link IS correct link......

Thank you for the information. I already had the EO# for the base. The link you provided to E.O. #D221-12 is actually the CORRECT number for ALL THESE PARTS:
High flow TPI runners 74195/74199
SuperRam Plenum Runner Kit 74196
SuperRam Manifold Base 74197
High Flow Billet Throttle Body 74190/74191

Even though the PLENUM is not listed by itself, I did some research and found some old listings showing that the PLENUM AND RUNNERS WERE SOLD TOGETHER AS ONE KIT UNDER P/N 74196

Unfortunately, my castings of the runners and SR do NOT have part numbers molded into them (that I can see) except for this on the bottom of the plenum "DG 011 022 A" so I may still have an argument with the smog police.

When I visit the smog police, I will now have most of the information needed to prove I am worthy citizen of the PRK and, for a huge fee (including registration, extra fuel taxes, extra income taxes, extra property taxes, etc.) will be accorded the PRIVILEGE of driving my car on the parking lots (I mean freeways) of Los Angeles, as long as I can afford to keep paying and paying and paying....

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
M

I've had my 85 with the Super Ram smog tested three times by a STAR station. They've never asked about the intake. But just in case, I had the E.O. and a picture of the Super Ram from an ad.

EXACTLY what I am preparing - a little sheet with pictures and EO numbers for the glove compartment -- IF needed!

I never cheat on the tail pipe sniffer test, but sometimes I am quite frustrated about the visual. Just because a parts manufacturer doesn't pay the state's extortion demand (I mean, "testing fee") to receive a CARB# doesn't mean the emissions are out of range!

Anyway, I have only one (unfortunately quite obvious) NON-carb part on the car (long tube headers). I am hoping the Smog tech will overlook that when they can see all the documentation for all the other parts and a very low emissions test on the sniffer.

Cumbercr - how is that SR working out on your '85? Any other mods you made around that SR? It sounds like you've been running it for at least 6 years. Is your '85 a daily driver or weekend warrior or trailer queen? I'm putting this SR on a brand new build for my wife's daily driver, occasional auto-x'er. She logged 140k on the first engine, hoping for 200k on this engine.

Cheers!
M

Here's a pic of the underhood stickers I got from Accel several years ago for my SR.

Thanks! Every little bit of authenticity and bureaucratic compliance helps.

Yeah, maybe I'm hoping against hope on the LTHeaders.....

Cheers,

I don't think you'll find anyone that will overlook the headers. I swap mine out every 2 years. It's a pain, but the power gains are worth a weekend.

My build is a 396 Super Ram, Crower 221/230 cam and AFR 195 heads. The car is a daily driver. With stock exhaust the car passes smog.
