I noticed my battery was draining....I have a parasitic draw somewhere.
Here are the facts, please help....
1. Placed multimeter between negative (black) post of battery and the body of the car...showed 12.2 volts
2. Turned multimeter to Amps and got a draw of about 2 amps.
3. I systematically pulled every fuse....no drop in Amps like I had hoped.
4. I have a brand new battery in there that I got this morning...my old battery was 6 yrs old anyway...problem happened with both batteries, so that's probably not it.
5. I've been pulling every wire That is easily separated, still no change.
Wow...battery cable getting hot...that sounds like more than 2 amp.
I guess if it were my car, and short of any better suggestions, I'd start disconnecting major junctions; Bulk head connector, Engine harness, etc. to at least move toward *a* direction. Sounds frustrating, but w/that much draw, should be very obvious when you find it.
What about headlight motors? I don't think they're fused, are they?

What wire harness does it have? If mainly 84 there were fusible links on the solenoid, one fed headlight relays, other fed a/c hi-blo relay, theft deterrent +more..

I'm note sure about the headlights. It has the LS harness.
Coming out of the positive terminal there is the large guage wire to the starter. At the starter it is hooked to two other wires carrying power...one for harness, one for AC blower.
Also out of battery is a small wire that goes through the old fusible link that went to fan relay. That then connects back through the firewall inside for accessories
