LT5 scanning software
I ahve a couple of friend with ZR1's I will have to see what info I get with EASE on their cars

For free stuff that works with ZR1s you want to serach for OBD1 tools and software.
Check out:
1) Do-it-yourselfer EFI page at http://www.diy-efi.org
2) Craig Maotes free OBD1 software at http://ice.prohosting.com/moates/gmecm/
3) Cables for Craigs software available at AKM Page http://www.mindspring.com/~amattei/dss.htm
"Craig Moates Free GM ALDL 8192-Baud Communications" program.
It's designed to work with GM's TPI systems with the 1227165 & 1227730 ECMs.
That covers 1986-92 MAF and MAP systems, but not TBI or LT1 applications.
It is to be used with one of the various serial COM-port-based interfaces
that are available, some of which can be seen at his website.
Not free:
A) Ease Diagnostics at http://www.obd2.com or http://www.easesim.com
B) Diacom at http://www.rinda.com
The Ease GM OBD1 scan tool works with all ZR1s. It has parameter sets for all "J" LT-5 engines. I'm sure that you know the 8th digit in the VIN is "J" for all ZR1s. The Ease GM OBD1 tool is $315 and includes all cables and software. If you order through me I'll get you a 10% rebate on the purchase price. Jeff and others on the Forum have bought Ease tools through me. If you consider buying an Ease tool, email me directly and I'll send you an html review with screen captures of the OBD1 tool in use on my OBD1 88 Coupe.
