Default Help! Sudden brake failure.

Car is an 86 z51, 60000m, brakes appear dead stock throughout. Never had a problem in the 10000m I've had it.

Today suddenly the pedal went almost to the floor, and the warning light tripped. Happens every time I use the pedal. Car still stops, but not real well.

Cannot find a leak anywhere. Fluid level seems normal or close to normal. Even took off the MC to see if it was leaking into the booster. Dry as a bone.

With power off, the pedal is high and firm. Engine on, sinks to the floor with no resistance at all until it nearly bottoms and the light flashes on.

Anybody seen this or have suggestions on how to proceed? Is it possible for the MC to fail internally and cause this condition without visible leaks or loss of fluid? I read that it is; I've never seen it.

If it's not leaking, it's a bad M/C IMO.

Yep, the m/c is not holding pressure internally. Common malady.
