Default What is going wrong?

Yesterday I went to an appointment and drove the car (1993 Ruby 6 spd), engine has been working fine since it was installed. My problem began when I started to leave the parking lot and since it was warm I decided to turn on the a/c which I had not tried since installing Freon. When I turned it on the engine started sputtering and died, but the asr and abs light came on. I got it started and made it over to an empty portion of the parking lot. Than tried but could not get it to run as it had noises. When I started to walk back into the building to get a paper clip the passive key honked the horn an continued so went back disconnected battery. Still honked the horn after connecting the battery. After getting the paperclip, l couldn't member the sequence as I wanted to reset the codes for the asr/abs computer. The ecm was throwing a code 68 which was because I pulled the connector off the a/c pressure switch that turns compressor clutch on. (Still need part numbers for both the upper two wire pressure and the lower three wire sensor switch. Everyone seems to use different names for them compared to what is in the fem.).
The last time I had asr problem it was low on brake fluid, I'm thinking sensor may be bad as it was hardly low the last time. I will start on Monday with resetting codes, check brake fluid and turn off passive key. If I can get it to run, will get it to the neighbor to check a/c pressures as I did not check them when I put Freon in. I have gauges but don't know how to use them and what pressures for system since converting to R134. Perhaps one or both switch/sensors are bad to.

Converting to R134 from R12 can sometimes be tricky. It is more than a simple process. Here's a link to some info. -

If you didn't replace the drier and get all the old oil out of the system you may have caused more problems than you fixed. I learned the hard way about 15 years ago after I used an auto store conversion kit. Expensive lesson for me. Good luck.

Did you use ester or PAG oil? Ester oil is compatible with the mineral oil in R-12 systems. PAG oil is not. If PAG oil is used all the mineral oil needs to be flushed out.

Correct oil. Just need to figure out the no start issues first before a/c. I do need some part numbers for those sensor/switch in the lines? Will start working on car in about an hour to find the starting issue.
