I'm going to also suggest Centerforce. I had one in My Mustang GT...it took over 25 passes in two months in blistering heat back in '95. It was a mid 11 second car also being launched at 5900. Never once did it slip, smell or chatter.
scorp508 and John G 92 we're at the track this weekend, laying down run after run. Both cars have them...and also excellent reliability. I thought for sure John's would have been stressed launching on dead hook mickey t slicks(John's car is a stock 'vert 92 droptop)....but it didn't!
Yup I've got one. I was dumping at 5000 and it didn't even think of slipping. The pedal is even easier than the stock setup. No rattling in neutral either.
Scorp, no rattling in neutral? Did you use a single mass flywheel or a stock one? Mine rattles pretty good idling and, if you accelerate from low RPMs you hear a fair amount of shaft noise until the revs come up (like in an AX where you go into a tight 180* and stay in second coming out).

The 4+3 tranny has your run of the mill lightweight flywheel. AKA single mass. :)

so as we've all read, the ZF6 has these "straight cut gears"(the earlier models anyways) that seem to contribute to the rattling.
I haven't heard of 4+3 owners saying their tranny rattles in nuetral like single mass conversion ZF6 guys. I wonder what kind of cut on those gears?
The easier pedal effort with the centerforce is due to it having counterweights on the diaphragm's fingers. Then inertia helps out applying the pressure. Us poor saps that don't use that one are stuck with stiff springs/fingers and bigger left leg muscles
If the ZF6 had straight cut gears, you'd hear it howling a mile away like a 1950 Dodge Powerwagon or 1920 Rio Speedwagon or a NASCAR or Trans Am race car. The pre-'93 ZF had a couple slightly different gears and they are surely not straight cut.
