on a '87. I'm installing Banski arms and can't figure out how to get the bottom dogbone bolt out of the knuckle, it is to long. I'm thinking about cutting it unless someone has a suggestion.
I did the half-shaft u-joints on my 86 a few months ago and removed the dog-bone bolts on the knuckles as part of the process. IIRC after raising and supporting the car, the process was remove the spring from the knuckle first then the dog-bone. I did not have any interference getting it in or out.
What is yours hanging up on? Got any pictures?
The lower bolt has interference from the caliper/splash shield/backing plate? OR?
If it's not easier to remove the caliper and clear the bolt then cut but be prepared I guess to insert the replacements from the back-side also and you of course have to buy the bolts.
Those bolts are M16 X 2 X 110 and 100 respectively I believe and 10.9 spec. I'd think the M16 in 10.9 spec would be a hard find.
