Default how am i doing on porting?

I'm porting my stealth ram out to my 1206 gasket. There is just enough space to seal at the bottom even though it looks small. If I have problems I'll prob use some epoxy on the bottom to help seal. The thing has to match or come close to my Afr 220s. To me it looks good and seems to be pretty easy.

I'm going for just a 90% correct port right now and will take it over the winter and finish it perfectly. Just wanted to see if there were any blantant errors. I still have a bit of cleanup to do but this is how it is going.

Has anyone ever siamesed the runners in a stealth ram?

Looks good, so far.....You should have plenty of metel left at the bottom to get a good seal, "air ports are easier to get a good seal on then water ports"..You can use one of the adhesives like "Edelbrocks 9300 Gasgacinch" Gasket sealer, this stuff works great when you have a small area like that to seal.. . Any questions you have about porting should be run past "Cuisinartvette", he's the resident Guru to ask on any porting questions...Good Luck......WW

..... As easy as it is to remove the fuel rails , I'm surprised that you left them in harms way ............

Looks good so far !

I use some machinist "mics" to measure the runner thickness at different spots so I make certain that I do not grind a hole into a water passage or another runner....some places get pretty thin once you get a couple inches in there...

Lol I dont know how you guys port but the fuel rails are far from harm. I guess I can remove them but all they do is get a shaving fall on them every once in a while and they are taped off.

I'll remove them though just to be sure. Thanks for the encouragement. I will get that tool when I start my final port this winter. Thanks for the advice and the pics all.

There are some photos of my Stealth project. At first all the ports were ported to maintain equal cross-section area on all of them all the way (the smallest portion is in the middle of the runners) Don't mind the language, it's Finnish, but the pics speak for themselves:

Then I had the 'towers' milled down 12 mm (a little shy from half an inch) to make Stealth to fit under the stock hood and I had to redo the roundings of the inlets. I also grinded the plenum to match the inlets inside and outside to help fitting under the hood:

Heads were also ported and milled down once again, so the intake manifold gasket needed a little modification also to make it fit.

This is how the runners match the heads

Had some problems fitting the throttle body

...but in the end we got it runnin'
