My map lights work but the small amber light that comes on when you turn on your headlights does not, replaced bulb some time ago and it worked then stopped working. My small amber lights on the doors also never worked, I checked they have good bulbs no voltage readings. I would like to know if they are connected and where to start looking. I have 90 base model. Thanks in advance for any help.

Check your fuses. I don't know the fuse setup for a '90 so I can't be more specific.
On earlier cars the CTSY/CLK fuse is the one that supplies the power for the interior lights. That one fuse supplies all the power to all the circuits that need it when the ignition is off. I think the functionality was split into 2 or more fuses in 1990.
Fuses are good, CTSY fuse is for the interior lights that come on when you open your door the amber lights that come on when you turn on your headlights are connected to the dimmer circuit from what I can tell from the FSM, I noticed the light for the shifter does not work also witch I believe is connected to the dimmer circuit also. The dimmer works on the dash and climate control. I don't drive much at night so might wait to when I put in new carpet to trace everything down.
