Guess I'll do some searching on the C4 Scan and Tune to see what scanners work (and are cheap). Hate spending more on a car (my brothers) that isn't driven, but I want to find / fix what's broken.
Would be nice if I could use the old AutoTap or EFI Live V2 I have for my C5.
I haven't found too many things that are good AND cheap. But say you get a good scanner that costs a little more. If it can also help you in your newer cars, what is the problem?
Well, I did some logging and the BLM is almost maxed out.
After some searching I find the 22 lb/hr Bosch III's really are not drop in replacements for '88 Rochester injectors. I'M NOT HAPPY. Seems they require increased fuel pressure (maybe more than can be achieved from the stock pump) or a custom tune. Have also read that some cars need the 24 lb / hr version.
I'm pissed I didn't research this before jumping in.
Now thinking that I may just send out the stock injectors to see if they can be cleaned and taking the friggn thing apart again.
