i have an old saginaw steering on my 91 vette this pump is out of my 77 chevy. what i need to know is there a pressure valve or a spring that controls the pressure or a smaller pulley to spin the pump faster. i have no steering at idle and have to rev the engine off idle to make the steering work. when i got the car it had the rack but no pump, any help please

There are different size orifices to control volume and there are different pressure valves also. The various pumps also have different numbers of vanes to control efficiency. There are also CW and CCW rotation pumps for various applications.
