Default 1995 Rear Brakes

Hey everybody. Swampboy back, replacing rotors, pads on '95 base coupe. Front already done and went well. Now these rear brakes are kicking my butt. Released the parking brake using the FSM nail method. Not replacing calipers. I removed the two caliper mounting bolts, took off the old rotor, mounted the caliper back temporarily and pushes the piston back with a C-clamp. New pads with grease on ears, disc quite on backs went in easily. Now to the frustrating part. The new pads will not fit over the rotors. It has to be the crazy parking brake mechanism. If there is a step, procedure, video please share. I have the 1995 two volume FSM, a Haynes manual and numerous posted instructions. Dead in water and two stubborn to give up. You guys and gals always come through, so cracking a cold one and awaiting help. Installing new Bilstein shocks all four corners in the meantime. Thanks everyone. Baer Decelarotors and Hawk pads.

Did the pistons push back flush with calipers, if so the parking brake may not be the issue

Okay, i did not pay attention to the fact that the four rear brake pads are not identical. After stepping back and looking at the old pads i realized there is a clip on the pad that is against the piston (inward pad). Switched out and had the two rear sides done in thirty minutes. Bled and flushed all four corners, broke pads in according to the instructions including a 20 minute cool down then took a nice long test drive. Lesson learned, pay attention and always study each part especially when in sets. Thanks for your comments. The Bear Decelarotos and Hawk HP pads are very different from stock equipment. The car stops much better.
