Last Minute Torque Converter Question???
Please help me select a Torque Converter, and the correct stall for my setup. I'm guessing 2600 - 2800 I haven't had any engine work done, just gears, exhaust custom chip, and other add ons.
Also please give me a few respectable names, I'm not sure which type the shop normally uses. I drop off the car on Saturday

I don't think you need a Stall Convertor. With no engine mods and 3.73's you gotta fry the tires now pretty good! Going to a higher stall will fry em more and you'll be outta your power band in no time.
If you go to like a mini ram and a bigger cam then you may need a stall.
Is your convertor toast now or something?

2800 works for LT1's, don't know about the L98.

James, no problem with my converter, infact the trans is only about 3 months old. I've heard/read that they improve ET's by 3 or 4 tenths, so that's why I wanted to get one. If I don't need one or it wouldn't give me the 3 to 4 then I won't get it.
