My left front VSS was disconnected so that probably caused these codes. I also tried to clear the codes by grounding the C for 2 seconds 3 times, but the codes are always there. How can I tell if I actually cleared the codes at all.
Am I supposed to do the grounding with the ignition on or off?
Any other ideas or fixes?
Forget about trying to clear the codes. If the car is started three times and the wheels dont move the codes automatically turn on. Drive your car. Let it sit, no engine, turn it back on drive it. Turn it back on then you will be able to determine whats wrong.
As soon as you turn on the engine the computer does a self diagnostic.
The GM guys did the same thing, call me up,
Gm: dude your service engine and ride control lights are on now.
Me: They werent on when I you got the car, did you try moving it?
Gm: These guys are trained techs of course they know what they are doing (also inferred I was lying)
Me: Okay, see what it is.
Gm: [4 hours later] All the codes are off I guess your car just needed to be moved. No charge.
