I guess you could, but I would use a steel braided high pressure hose. Take out the valve core too. I am not sure the flare angle of the schrader valve, it may be "AN" (37 degree). Get a fire extinguisher for extra insurance.

If you get the nice looking ACCEL all metal gauge that mounts to the Schraeder, put the valve, valve tool and a pair of plyers in the storage behind the seat.
My ACCEL was leaking fuel into the gauge area and dripping out last Sat. and caused me to miss two competition events! It had been on my Vette less than 2yrs.
