I've been rolling the idea of putting muffler deletes on my stock 85 with true duals and no cat. Anyone have any ideas' on what's best? Are the plain muffler deletes too loud or are the chambered ones a better sound? Any videos'?

Running muffler deletes on a 93 and 94 over stock mid pipes and cats.
Deep and mellow rumble without being obnoxious.

If you already have true duals and no cats, muffler eliminators will probably pretty loud especially at WOT. You will most likely get interior resonance too. I have headers and true dual on my '87 and an X-pipe. I have DynoMax race mufflers and it's quiet around town and at cruise speeds. WOT is loud. It measured right at 99dB at a recent track day (WOT in 3rd just before shifting into 4th).
A number of years ago a friend campaigned an 85 Mustang 5.0 car (ex-police car) in SCCA Pro Rallye. He managed a muffler shop and picked up a Walker chambered system for the car. You could hear the car a number of blocks away once he got above 3000 RPM.
I once heard a '67 427 car with chambered side exhaust. Absolutely great sound at high RPM but the guy that owned it said it took a good hour after he got out of the car to be able hear anything like a simple conversation.
