Hi Guys.
A good friend of mine has a 9 second C4.The car usually breaks a spindle every 5 or so passes. The car has been in storage for 5 years now and he wants to bring it back out. What is available for a strong rear end now?He wants to keep the independant suspension.
Thanks
One of our members here "rklessdriver" has successfully managed 1.24s/60ft using the Dana 44 IRS. He has a proven working theory of how to do this with IRS. I would suggest contacting him via PM or searching for some of his postings. I have found some of his relevant postings that may help out.
I would tell him to save the headache and do a solid swap and call it done!! The money he would get for the dana 44 would cover the price of a built rear end and the swap really does not look that bad. All personal preference though.
