1996 console lighting
This is sort of a silly question. ..and I've tried a search on it but after looking through a dozen pages of results, I cannot find an answer.
I was driving my wifes 96 tonight and noticed there aren't any lights on the automatic shifter. Also, the radio station shows aling with the clock and cabin temp.
Are there supposed to be more lights? Like for A/C, Auto, Radio Presets, etc ?

It sounds like you have some burned out bulbs to replace.
The light on the automatic shifter is inside the console. you have to take it loose to get to it. It's a 194 bulb plugged into the dash-end of the shift indicator.
Mostly, you just need a Philip's screw-driver to take the console panels off.
Then remove the climate control & stereo to get to the bulbs inside of them. (It's easier than it sounds, just time consuming)
Well worth the effort.

She recently had the system that controls the climate replaced. Since then, the passive lock / unlock doesn't work. The red light on dashpad doesn't even flash.
I thought that was the only issue but now I guess lights too. I just couldn't remember if there were any hehe
Anyway, I'll try looking at fuses & bulbs...
