Default Engine rebuild cam

Guys I just stripped my down to the block and am getting ready to send it over to my engine builder/machinist. I noticed that the factory cam actually looks bigger than the cam I am replacing it with. I'm not a cam expert but the over all lobe(s) height of the factory cam is bigger than my comp cam 230/236 cam. Is this normal?

What year Vette & what motor??

Is is possible that the current cam is not OEM?

1993 and I am 100% sure the old cam is factory. I went on YouTube and seen a vid on how to measure a cam and the numbers come out perfect. It just seems odd that the overall lobe height is actually bigger on the factory cam. No big deal I think I got everything figured out.

The factory cam probably has a bigger base circle.
