It seems like my spoiler has been scraping more lately, so I measured the front wheel wells. The left side is 25.5", but now my right side is 24.5"! After lowering 2 years ago, the left was only about a .25" lower.
What do you think has happend? I want to find a 1" piece of rubber or polyurathane and put it in the left side where the pads where removed to lift the left side up and even it out. Where can I get this, Lowe's?
Any advice would be helpful.
how old are your shocks? when they get old and leak the car usually sags lower, after i replaced my shocks, my car raised up about 1 1/2 inches, all around , good luck!
Funny, because I was just saying in anoother post that my shocks are fine and have about 73K on them. Maybe they need to be replaced, but it doesn't feel like it and they are not leaking that I can tell. I didn't think the shocks affected ride height, when you lower the front be removeing the pads the shocks don't keep the frame from lowering. Could it also be my spring is worn out?
Any more thoughts?
I want to get coilovers in the future, so I just need a temporary fix so I don't tear up the bottom of my car.
How can I tell if my shocks are bottoming out if I don't feel it? I push on the fron of my car and it only moves up and down a little, very stiff.

The shocks may be fine from a fluid standpoint, but the gas pressure is there to prevent foaming of the fluid during hard use, and this creates some "lift" as well. So they may pass a "bounce" test just fine still and still be bad.
Well I still don't know if I need new shocks or not. Since my left front has become lower does this mean without a doubt I need new shocks or could it be something else? I don't want to replace the shocks now if I don't need to.
