Fuel gauge problem

Fuel gauge problem
My digital fuel gauge is always reading a full tank. Everything seems to be working fine, except the the bar reading stays at full and the fuel info range reads 315 miles remaining. Is it the fuel gauge sending unit? Thanks in advance.

I seem to have a similar problem that just started yesterday. The gauge seems to show MORE gas than I have in the tank. While I'm driving the pointer rises instead of falls. Hey, maybe I have a perpetual motion machine! :)

I had a similar problem on my 90. It read full all the time. There is a ground located at the top of the tank that was loose. I had to remove the fuel door and the plastic boot and there it was. It was originally soldered in place, but I relocated it under a bolt.....works just fine now.
