Mine are from Magnaflow but without the blued tips.
The PO had LT1 tips but they stuck out like a sore thumb, hung down too low, stuck out too far.
I like these because they tuck up nice to the bumper.
I say go

Quite a few people have single/dual chrome tips including me. I think the chrome tips really set off the car but the stainless mufflers with tips would be my first choice.

does your tips have a muf attached like the one on my pic and if so did you do the install?? other than that they look like a better alternative to the stock rectangulars

Just have a muffler shop install any dual stainless tips you want on your stock mufflers.

Those mufflers pictured might produce a lot of drone, common with most aftermarket mufflers.

I looked at a 94 vette back in 2012 which had these mufflers and tips. I couldn't hear myself think due to the drone in the cabin.

Muffler shops will have many different sized dual outlet exhaust tips which you can buy separately. The muffler tech will then cut your existing rectangular tips off the stock mufflers and weld the new dual outlet tips on.

the rectangular tips were just screwed on when I bought the car so they come right off, what Im wondering is do they cut off the existing mufs and use the mufs on the new dual tips?

Drone, as in sound resonance.

A lot of aftermarket exhaust systems and/or mufflers will have what is called "drone" or sound vibrations.
It isn't always about how loud it might be on the outside of the car.
Some systems are obnoxious enough, you can't carry on a conversation with a passenger in your car.

Some don't mind, and others can't stand it.
Sound is so subjective, it is hard to say how it might affect you.

You buy tips like these from the muffler shop or anywhere online, then the muffler shop cuts off the rectangular tips and welds the new tips onto your stock muffler.

I ground the welds off the rectangular LT1 tips, leaving two round pipes on each muffler. Slipped the new tips on and welded them in place.

The tips are bought separately, there is no muffler...You can buy just the exhaust tips as I have posted previously.

let me clarify better... Your stock mufflers flow great and do not have any drone like other aftermarket mufflers. That's why I'm trying to explain to you to keep your stock muffler and just change the tips.

The muffler you posted, is a generic muffler that looks good but, will produce an interior drone or resonance which will be unbearable!...Do a search on "Exhaust Drone" or, "Exhaust Resonance" and you will see what I mean.

You need to only purchase the tips. You keep your original mufflers, unless they they need to be replaced.

Now that made sense thanx for those who don't know heres what I found

Quote{Drone in the exhaust is due to the engine driving the exhaust system
at its resonant frequency. You can't get rid of it, any length of pipe has
a natural frequency, but you can change the frequency (RPM) it happens at.

I have the SS blue tip Off Road Only mufflers on my 1973. 375 HP 350 and they are loud as hell. I will most likely but putting something else on when the car gets back from interior work.
