Default quick question on price for 85 ecu.

Is 80$ a good price for an 85 ecu? The seller tells me it works and that it came from an 85 vette and that it is usable on a camero as well.

is it true they can be used on a camero and is 80$ a good price?

i do not need one, my 85 is fine, but if its a good price ill buy it.

Is it an 870 ECM?

I paid $50 shipped for one earlier this year from a member here. Had an F body (I think) prom with it also.

If I remember right when i was looking the going price was around $50 without a prom. A rebuilt from the parts store was around $120.

The 870 ECM was in quite a few different cars, it's the prom that is car and option specific and would need to be transferred from one to the other.

$80 seems on the high side to me. There is a very small market for those old computers.
