DANA 44 VIPER GEARS
They will fit, right?! seems like the ring gear is bigger. I have read where you take a die grinder to the casting. If so where does it usually need it?

I just bought a set of Dana OEM 4.10's for my car. They are essentially the same as the Viper gears with a different crush sleeve. These gears do have a larger ring gear, and on a few cars there has been clearance problems. The clearancing is minor if any, and can be fixed with a little die gringing. My gears are being installed tomorrow, I will let you know how it goes.

Are we talking about the company named Viper? Because there is a Viper manu. that makes gears. :)
No, I am talking about the DANA gears from MOPAR performance for the Viper.

The Dodge Viper gears are made for a Dana 44 and bolt right in (Just need to be set up properly) There is no grinding involved. I put these in a few cars and they were always quiet, and have been holding up to alot of beatings :D

I am using Toms 4.11 for vette dana 44 rear end. Tom has them custom made and he seems to really know what he's doing. They run about 210 a set and use a crush sleeve. They are very quiet running and fit with no problems.
